RICHARD SCHMITT, President and CEO.
Rich has been a software developer and entrepreneur for may nears. Prior to Connected Way, Rich was owner and CTO of Blue Peach. At Blue Peach, Rich developed the original Blue Share SMB Networking stack as well as the Blue Universe UPnP Digital Home stack.
Richard also has worked for various companies as a Linux Architect and Project Manager. Most recently, he is the Linux architect for Commscope’s OneCell baseband product. Rich has also been CTO of Viridien Technologies, a networking technology consulting firm and he has also been the project manager of NXP’s QorIQ Linux Platform.
Dr. Kumar Kovali, Chief Technology Consultant.
Dr. Kovvali is a Software Engineering Assoc Fellow at Ribbon Communications in Westford, MA. Prior to Ri boon, he is Co-Founder & VP Data-science at Anovadata. He has over 30 years of innovation experience in exploring new technologies and identifying value propositions in multi-disciplinary distributed systems that include wireless/wireline networks, cluster and storage subsystems. His recent focus is in 3G/4G mobile wireless network architectures, mobile content delivery networks, RAN-Analytics, Network KPI & User QOE characterization, Cross-Layer optimizations & opportunistic service offload.
Dr. Kovvali’s expertise in wireline networks includes IPTV edge services, Carrier Ethernet/MSPP/MPLS/ATM platforms, datacom/telecom networks.
Prior to Movik, Kovvali held Chief Scientist positions at BigBand Networks and Telsima, as well as being a founder at Coriolis Networks.
Kumar is a significant contributor to the various standards bodies including IEEE’s RPR and Metro Ethernet Forum. His strengths include exploring emerging technologies, identifying opportunities and developing IP Portfolio. Dr. Kovvali has authored over twenty U.S. patents covering Real-Time RAN Analytics, Cross-Layer Optimizations, Subscriber QOE, RAN & Content-Aware delivery in Mobile Networks, Session-aware load balancing & opportunistic cloud offload, Self-Optimizing Networks and multi-serve delivery in metro optical networks.
Kovvali holds a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from Kansas State University and a Master of Technology from I.I.T-KGP, India.
